The wife of Moses was not black, ....

but her complexion was somewhat darker than the Hebrews. Please Lord tell me there is a joke in here somewhere. Is this my stumbling block? Is this where I fall? What is the purpose of mentioning that Moses wife was not black. Even enough to put it in the study Bible? Ha! It's not important. The Bible does not mention her color. Why should she? Is this me murmuring? What does it mean Moses' wife was not black, and what claims does she respond to in making this statement? Must all black pride be snuffed out? Are we so bent on evil that if we could uplift our selves in anyway it would be the way of Lucifer? Are the black people not allowed to point out anyone in the Bible that they look like? No, we don't look like the wife of Moses but I bet we look like the Ethiopian Eunuch for sure. LOL! A man who has no private part. Well at least he accepted the gospel. And of course Solomon's pagan booti calls. But come on Lord. I'm reasoning with you please convince me that I am wrong.

New quote: The Hebrews were not white but their complexion was somewhat darker than the Caucasians banging rocks together in a cave somewhere in Europe. Oh and do not forget the differences in facial structure. LOL Disclaimer: This has not been researched nor is it highly possible that I will research this information. I may post the quote that I am responding to or I may not. But please do not take offense. I love white people. I have white friends.

How come you never tried to convert me?

So it's been a while and it's really late but I have to write or I never will. Lol! Remember ? I'm undisciplined. So yeah, I'm impressed to talk about my witness.
I was watching a sermon by Ivor Myers "The Blueprint: Earth's Final Movie  and in the sermon he talks about what we should be doing in the christian life using the sanctuary as a pattern. Prayer : altar of incense, Bible Study: Bread of the presence, Witnessing: the candlestick. I realized that I lack in the witnessing area. I know so much about the Bible, I talk to God but my witness lacks. I was at the nail salon today and I remembered a time when I was in seventh grade and I was showing off my nail polish to my friends. ( By the way, never going back to a nail salon again) One of those friends were not SDA. When, I finally told her in the eighth grade that I am an SDA (mind you it is an SDA school) she was shocked. She couldn't believe me she thought that I went to church on Sunday. She had to look at my un-pierced ears for the proof.  This is not the only time it has happened. But since I was very young, I always had the belief  that I did not have to say anything about Jesus for people to see Jesus in me. I believed that people would just see it. But it's more than that. I do not talk about Jesus. As I'm heading to the nail salon today, I met my friend on the train today, who is SDA and as I'm leaving the train on my stop, he says, " Maybe I'll visit your church sometime!" I realized that I spoke with him for the whole time and I didn't talk about Jesus or church or religion at all.  I am so silent when it comes to Jesus. Someone else has to bring it up. My driving instructor picked me up from church and he asked me the question, "How come you never tried to convert me to your religion?"  I was shocked. I didn't know what to say. I was so tongue twisted. Now I feel like I have to continue the driving lessons just so that he learn more through me about ] Christ. I do not actively seek the lost. I hope that they may see Jesus in me and I say nothing. Do they see Jesus in me then? That's another convo for another night. I heard a sermon by Pastor Cameron Bowen ( so going to name one of my children Cameron) He was talking about how a lot of the young people in the church left and how it is the job of the church to get the young people back. My friends who left the church, did I ever talk to them about my relationship with Christ? Did I ever try to convert them? But to bring the point home, my christian friend has been my christian friend since the end of high school ( about 7 years) and I've told her about my religious denomination in a by the way kind of way. I've given her books to read that I like (Steps to Christ, ten commandments twice removed, etc). She recently decided to visit my church, last weekend (hurricane weekend so she did not come), I was like sure. Why is she more adamant about her coming than me? Why is my witness so passive and quiet? Why can't I love Jesus enough that I can't help talking about him? I want to love Him. Is that even right to say? Does anyone understand me when I say that I want to love Jesus? Does it make sense that a christian of over 10 years is saying I want to love Jesus?

Broadway Spa & Nail Salon

I went to a nail salon in Manhattan because I had a coupon. $17 for a manicure and a pedicure instead of 35 dollars? Mind you, I could get that in Brooklyn for $17, no discount. When I bought the coupon it was on impulse and I was considering not going but I had aleady put myself in the situation. I enter the place and they ask me for the coupon right away as if they know, "Oh, she's black. She must have a coupon." They're quick to tell me there is a $2 tax. This chick is doing my manicure and she's cutting my cuticle. Now I'm feeling pain but I do not mention anything because I believe she knows what she's doing. Then, when she is done cutting the cuticle she's saying she cut it too deep. I see my cuticle is bleeding. She puts on the antibacterial on the cuticle (I point out the other bleeding cuticles so that she can address them but I'm not thinking about not tipping...yet) quickly she tells me to take out the two dollars tax ( I don't believe she was fully trained yet so she knew people would withhold tip and/or tax. I believe she is the one that gets all the people with the coupons) She asked me if it was my first time and that I should have told her. It wasn't my first time getting my cuticle cut and I've never had bleeding cuticles before but I let her believe what she wanted to believe. I felt the need to make her day happy so I acted as if there was no problem. Unfortunately, the bleeding stopped there, but continued on the train. I spent a good portion of the ride home applying pressure to the wounds. When I got home it was acetone and peroxide. On my hands, LOL. The pedicure is my money's worth. LOL. Lesson learned. No payment for manicures or pedicures ever again. I have a manicure set at home. I really I do not want to use it because I feel God made my nails the way they are because he wanted them that way. There is no reason for me to add on to it except that which is healthy and practical          (which means clipping and oil. no polish necessary) I mean, I admire other people's nails but it isn't worth it. Why must I add on to myself?  Is that too crazy? I'm throwing away the nail polish before I can change my mind. LOLGood night blog!

More info: Reasons to not polish my nails/do complicated hairstyles(yikes to the last one)

1)Jesus validates me the way I am
2)Jesus need the attention from others not my hair or my nails
3) I am more than my hair/nails
4) It is impractical the amount of time I spend in my hair and on my nails. As a steward, Jesus' time can be spent better.

Speaking of better spending Jesus' time, good night!

My driving instructor

I have a problem with my driving instructor. I feel personally violated by by dude. First off my lesson has started lately so I do not reach in my house until after 11:00 PM, partially b/c he feels bad for coming late so he gives me extra time, and partially b/c I maybe leading him to believe that I want to be out that late. Either way, he sucks much about some things, For example, he has taken a lot of our driving time to talk about unrelated things and then he tells me when I am focused on driving, I drive better. Well isn't he supposed to be keeping me focused? He takes $2 offf the price and he has me driving for a longer time on the road but isn't it counterproductive if I'm not getting good driving out of it? I tend to flirt a lot without the intention of flirting. I could be leading him on but dude knows better. He is older than me by a bunch and he knows that I'm a good girl. What is his intention? With all these supposed benefits what does he expect in the end? I must also say, that after reading http://www.setapartgirl.com/home.html, I feel that my driving instructor has been replacement for what I am supposed to have w/ God, a sort of depositor of things I can readily tell God. He is mad cool, no doubt but I feel stolen from.
